Our client was Inglisi, a web platform for non-english speakers in Arabic speaking countries to learn practical English in a fun and engaging way. Our task was to completely overhaul and rebuild Sinbad The Speller, an original browser game developed by them more than a decade earlier.
With characters and settings inspired by the classic Middle Eastern legend, Sinbad The Speller is a game for desktop and mobile browser in which the user spells words (like in scrabble) to defeat their enemies.
As creative lead, art director and game designer, I was responsible for managing a team of designers, animators and developers as well as creating comprehensive design documents, rough sketches for all the characters, creatures, environments and UI- maintaining the core concept behind the original game intact while at the same time enhancing its visual appear and mechanics.
